Welcome to our January update! This month, we’ve added video support and made several improvements to enhance your documentation experience.
Bring your documentation to life with video support
We’ve added native video support to Documate, allowing you to embed videos directly in your documentation. Now, you can create richer, more engaging content for your users with visual demonstrations of complex procedures or concepts.
Remember that you can also insert YouTube and Loom videos into your documentation!
Improved attachment experience
We’ve redesigned the attachment viewer with better interaction states and visual feedback. Attachments now have clear hover states, and the selected element is highlighted, making them more intuitive to use and easier to identify.
Smoother Knowledge base content import
Content import from your Knowledge base now includes a loading state indicator that gives you precise feedback when your content is being processed. We’ve also improved navigation throughout the import flow.
A few more improvements
✨ No more flickering: We’ve eliminated page flickering when adding, changing the order of, or removing pages.
💈 Enhanced table styling: Tables displaying ServiceNow content have an improved layout and responsiveness, making your data easier to read across all device sizes.
📚 Upgraded collapsible sections: Better performance and stability for collapsible content.
🔍 Search improvements: Results now only show content that can be opened.
👤 Fixed avatar display: Avatar images now display correctly in comment threads.
🛡️ System updates: We’ve updated our underlying systems for better performance and security.
We’re always working to make Documate better for you. Try out these new features and let us know what you think by contacting us!
