Documate February 2025: Confluence integration & Attachment handling

Welcome to our February update! This month we’ve focused on enhancing how you work with files and bringing external content into Documate.

These additions will help you build more comprehensive documentation with less manual work, from a completely revamped attachment system to new Confluence import capabilities.

Confluence import made simple

Getting your existing documentation into Documate just got easier. Our new Confluence import feature lets you select content from multiple sources – whether from KB Knowledge or directly from Confluence – and bring it into your Documate workspace with formatting intact.

The system intelligently processes user mentions and page links to maintain references between your imported content, preserving the connections that make your documentation valuable.

Powerful file management

We’ve rebuilt our attachment handling from the ground up. Using our intuitive upload interface, you can now drag and drop files directly into your documents.

What’s more, you can rename files inline and manage them with a dedicated action menu that puts file operations right where you need them.

Enhanced document interaction

Finding and using attachments in your documents is now more straightforward with the new shortcut in the slash command menu. Simply type “/” and select the attachment option to quickly review files without leaving your current editing flow.

The attachment viewer has also received a visual upgrade with improved responsiveness and theme support, ensuring a consistent look regardless of your display preferences.

A few more improvements

📎 New attachments button available on all pages.

🚀 Updated dependency handling for smoother performance
