Spring is in full bloom, and so are the latest Documate features!
This month, we’ve added two highly requested capabilities to make your documentation more expressive and accessible: emoji pickers and PDF embeddings within your pages.
Express yourself with emojis
Communication in the workplace doesn’t have to be dull. Our new emoji picker brings a touch of personality to your Documate experience, helping you organise and express ideas more effectively.
In workspaces
Finding the right workspace just got easier! You can now add emojis to workspace names, making them instantly recognisable in your sidebar.
This visual shorthand helps teams quickly identify and switch between workspaces, reducing the time spent searching for the right documentation.
💡 Pro tip: Use 🚀 for launch projects, 🔧 for technical documentation, or 🧪 for testing environments.
In pages
Pages also benefit from emoji support, letting you add visual cues to your content. As with workspaces, you can now personalise your pages with emojis that reflect their content or purpose.
These small visual indicators help readers quickly understand what each page contains, making navigation through your documentation more intuitive and engaging.
💡 Pro tip: Use 📊 for data reports, 🔍 for research findings, or 🎯 when tracking your KPIs.
Native PDF viewing experience
PDFs contain crucial information, but traditionally require downloads or separate applications to view. This creates friction for your readers and breaks their concentration.
With our new PDF embedding capability, readers can review entire documents directly in your Documate pages, with page navigation, zooming, and searching. All without leaving Documate.
💡 Pro tip: Ideal for including technical specifications, legal documents, or legacy content that exists in PDF format.
What’s next?
Our team is hard at work expanding the types of content you can view directly within Documate. We’re also developing new visual elements to help you present information in more engaging ways.
Stay tuned for updates that will make your documentation not just more informative, but more visually appealing too.
