From collapsible functionality to smarter editing behaviour, these improvements make callouts more powerful and intuitive to use.
Collapsible callouts transform content organisation
Callouts can now be collapsed and expanded, letting you create cleaner, more digestible documentation.
Whether you’re building troubleshooting guides with expandable sections or creating FAQ pages that don’t overwhelm readers, collapsible callouts give you the flexibility to present information progressively.
💡 Pro tip: Toggle any callout between collapsible and standard modes directly from the block menu.
Smarter callout management
Working with callouts just got more intuitive. We’ve added a “Remove callout” option that preserves your content whilst removing the callout container. Perfect when you need to restructure your documentation.
The editor now prevents nested callouts, keeping your content structure clean and predictable.
💡 Pro tip: New callouts now start with h3 headings instead of h1, but you can easily change it from the toolbar or with the slash commands.
A few more improvements
⏎ Press Enter twice at the end of callout content to automatically create a new paragraph outside the callout, eliminating the frustration of being “trapped” inside.
🔄 Collapsed callouts automatically expand when you press Enter.
🎨 Paragraph formatting toolbar now correctly displays your current text style when working within callouts.
📋 Table of contents now only shows visible headings, preventing errors and improving navigation reliability.
⌨️ Better keyboard navigation prevents accidental deletion of callout boundaries.
✨ Improved visual consistency across all callout elements.
